Pecuniary Interests and Scheme of Members Allowances
We have an obligation to publish an annual statement of basic, special and attendance allowances paid to councillors during a financial year. We also have an obligation to publish a register of pecuniary interests and other interests that Councillors have.
Under the Local Authorities (Member's Allowances)(England) Regulations 2003
, the Council is required to approve a Scheme of Members' Allowances, which comes into effect on 1 April each year.
The Register of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests and the Register of Other Interests are below:
The Register of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests outlines what financial interests Councillors and their spouse/civil partner or any person they are living with as such.
The Register of Other Interests outlines what outside groups, bodies and organisations Councillors are appointed to by the Council and also which groups, bodies and organisations Councillors are on, in a personal capacity, where they are in a position of influence.
